The Center for Design Studies has purchased and begun restoration of the Gastrotypographicalassemblage – one of the most important artifacts in graphic design history. This masterpiece by Lou Dorfman and Herb Lubalin adorned the walls of CBS until its dismantlement in the 80′s. Read the classic tale of heroes and villains and get involved.
Biba remains one of the most evocative names in British design history; it pioneered a new style, mixing the contemporary with Art Nouveau, Art Deco and the golden age of Hollywood, dressing itself in the richly luxuriant colours of a bygone time.

Genevieve just wrote and she had a link to her new show in the email, so thought I would share it with everyone. I don’t even know if the show is up yet for the public to view. Genevieve’s new show is called “Food Chain” and it is in the Netherlands. Really looks wonderful. It is nice to see how she always takes her work one step further.

Andre Avelas says “in case you wondering, 960 earphones work as speakers, 40 as microphones, making a feedback loop you could control on the mixer. Another unpredicted but welcomed sound source was some white noise from a fucked up amplification circuit I built.”
