Some of you may already know, but we have been developing and maintaining a little image blog/community called Buamai since late 2008. We recently did a little spring cleaning on the code and layout of the site, making for a much easier and quicker experience when searching and browsing for images. Also, be sure to check out the iPhone app if you enjoy the site. At only 99 cents, app purchases help us raise funds to continue working on the site and keeping it alive.
Word of warning, some images might not be safe for work (nsfw).
The fine people at Wolff Olins have a new blog called Never Work. It is pretty wild how they have the navigation set up. I don’t think I like it but it is interesting non-the-less. I need to make an account. Will do when I have some time.
My latest side project for Graphic Designers and creatives is called Buamai. The project is only few months old but we already have 3000 images blogged. As of today, we now gave a great new iPhone application to bring this content to you while you are mobile. The application was created to grab random images from our server to cure your boredom as well as inspire. Images found on our site are mainly of Graphic Design, Art and Architecture interest but with some random, strange images thrown in for variety. Use our website to cure boredom, find talented artists or for gathering inspiration.
Remember that ‘other’ section on our site where we would interview other designers and creatives. It was called Profile. You don’t? Oh well, neither do we! Heck its been about one year since the last time we interviewed someone. So today we moved all that old content into our blog (aka where you are now) and can now be found in the section Profiles.
If you really never have checked out the interviews, your missing out! We have some great content including interviews with the likes of Mike Mills, John Maeda, D-Fuse, Non-Format and so many other talented people. If we see the stats spike on this content, we will do our best to start bringing more interactions like this back to life and into the blog.
My latest side project, Buamai, is now official. The goal of Buamai was to gather a select community of authors to begin creating an interesting image archive relative to art and design. The project is in its very first stages, so its fresh, small and just now getting off the ground but in the coming months it should develop into something to cure anyone’s boredom online. So try it today, and just start clicking from image to image, keyword to keyword, link to link.

It’s finally here… Grain Edit’s first anniversary! Their archive of impeccable posts on design should be enough to make you head over there, but if not, they are giving away a lot of booty to celebrate.
It’s true. Surfstation is back. It’s interesting to have witnessed the history of design portals on the internet. It seemed like yesterday when K10k, Surfstation, and Design is Kinky ruled the design news planet. I am sure I already forgot about a couple. Check it out though, looks nice.
