We just got in MoMA’s new book, Modern Swedish Design.
At first glance, it doesn’t stand out from other books on Modern Design, but this book definitely deserves another chance. The rarely translated writings of the founding texts that initiated modern design in Sweden, make it a necessary addition to any designer’s collection. This book shouldn’t be overlooked!
Mr Steve wrote me this weekend to let me know he posted up a new video with some insight to his Our Mountain traveling Art Experience. Other than getting to see the skilled wizard rock some insane t-shirt fashion, the video does indeed provide a nice look into his recent work. Hotness all around and then some. Peep the Video, Yeah!
So, eyes rolling in the back of my head over Peter Saville (again) – which led me to lust over his photographer Nick Knight. Now, thanks to this blog post, you can too!
Peter Rentz is a rusty blade that slashes fads and trends with a laser precision. He’s updated his site. Please see my favorite designer here.
He’s french and he does art direction, graphic design, and much more and I like his work very much, especially the typography and lettering but I think he’s pretty excellent with creating good concepts too, you should definately go check him out, because I think he’s gonna make you a better designer or feel kinda shitty about your own work at least, go check out Merci Bernard.
Frederique Daubal recently updated her site. She has been a long time favorite of mine! Her work shows her distinct sense of humor and wit.
