We recently published a project on Behance titled Typography in Water where we took five selected fonts and mixed them with water. The final result was astonishing and we figured why not provide these as wallpapers as well. So to serve all the frenzy around the recent Apple iPhone 4 and iPad releases, we are offering selected images from the project as wallpapers for those devices. Read more…

We would like to take a quick breather right now to announce some new font designers on the site. First, over the next few weeks/months we will be adding designs from the massive collection of Intellecta Design, a Brazilian type foundry focused on remastering found and antique type. Second, another Brazilian foundry by the name of BRtype has currently added six unique designs to the library. Last but not least, Rui Abreu (Portugal) has joined our site and started by added his modern design Gesta to our library.
We are currently in the works of adding even more new foundries over the next few months. As well, we have hundreds of fonts (from designers like P22 and Sudtipos) waiting to be added to our library as we speak. Keep a close watch via our newsletter, Facebook, and Twitter to be notified of when these new items are posted.

After many years of debate on the subject, YouWorkForThem is excited to announce the addition of Stock Audio to our repertoire. It’s no secret that compelling motion and video content requires compelling audio. Original music scores, audio atmospheres that evoke a specific environment or volumetric space, and unique, functional UI sound effects are what bring visual content up to full power. As content production timelines progress, the audio component is often left to the last minute, or—too often—overlooked entirely, because a custom solution is usually perceived as being difficult or expensive. This perception is easily countered with Stock Audio solutions from YouworkForThem, and with prices starting at $15, your budget won’t even blink.
We are very excited to start the audio ball rolling with 9 collections of elements, 4 sets created by our longtime collaborators at Madsound, and 5 collections done in-house here at YWFT. These sets of audio were designed specifically for content creators. Whether you are the biggest producer since Robert Evans, deep into post on Avatar VI: Revenge of Zombie Sigourney, or the shyest kid at summer camp coding on your PSP in the cabin, there’s something here to make your project “pop a little™.”
If you need a quick set of UI sounds for your game menu, there are 100 instant classics in the “Bloop” collection and 8-bit glory aplenty in “Game.” If you’re making the trippiest iPad app since Brian Eno cut his hair, then check out “Moon” or “Underworld” for incredible volumetric atmospheres. Need the background music for your stylish web sitelet and the client is arriving in the morning? Don’t sweat it, grab the “Melody” collection and still make last call. If you have your animated logo ready to roll across a million in-car navscreens and aircraft entertainment systems, then check out “Motif” for custom-made, royalty-free themes made with casino-approved simplicity.
Your media has the motion, YouWorkForThem has the moves. Stock Audio available now.

Some of you may recall a little font release by the name of Black Slabbath that we launched back in 2008. Well, the designer of that fantastic font release is back at it again. Stefan Kjartansson is this designer in mention and his latest font creation is anything but normal. We have to say, this is one of the most original font designs to cross our paths, if not the most ever. This upcoming release goes by the name Cumulus and Foam, and will contain 3 different styles. Look for this beauty releasing this summer, only at yours truly, YouWorkForThem.
Look out, Clark W. Griswold, because Soaka just parked on your front lawn. Soaka is the grotesque, raw, country cousin of our slab serifs Motown and Lollop, and brings the pain when you’re facing down those rough Cobra Kai design jobs in the middle of the night. This totally out-of-control slab serif is available in opentype format, and is coded with stylistic alternate options that offer a more playful approach. Grab a can of Blatz and get ready to crush it on your skull, ’cause it’s time to hit the street with Soaka. In honor of Soaka’s launch, we have created a special PDF type speciman, enjoy!
Some of you may already know, but we have been developing and maintaining a little image blog/community called Buamai since late 2008. We recently did a little spring cleaning on the code and layout of the site, making for a much easier and quicker experience when searching and browsing for images. Also, be sure to check out the iPhone app if you enjoy the site. At only 99 cents, app purchases help us raise funds to continue working on the site and keeping it alive.
Word of warning, some images might not be safe for work (nsfw).

We are proud to announce two more amazing type foundries have joined our library, say hello to TipografiaRamis & Positype. Launching with over 20+ fonts between the two of them, they bring us amazing new scripts, serifs and sans-serifs. We are very excited to have these two designers join us and we look forward to posting more from them in the coming months.

We wanted to drop a quick post to let everyone know we have updated our Type Tester feature. We have added a larger viewing area and larger sizes of 100pt, 150pt and 200pt. We have also added character support for european characters and other special symbols, this means Read more…
Set the wayback machine for January, 2010: Network Osaka sends us their beautiful new serif, titled Haute. Immediately, it starts on a rapid climb toward becoming one of the year’s biggest sellers, and becomes a top-notch addition to the YouWorkForThem Exclusive Font Library. Now, fast-forward to present day, where we are proud to present the second exclusive release from Network Osaka, Burocrata. During the design and development of Burocrata, we worked closely with Network Osaka to make sure the finest details were reviewed, cleaned up and even polished with a chamois made of thousand-year-old yak fur. Network Osaka carried on improving more and more of the fine details with lasers and breakfast cereals late into the night, until finally, this amazing new sans serif emerged like a butterfly made of satin, covered in ice cream.
In addition to the release you can also Download PDF to see examples and specimen charts. (Sorry, no ice cream left.)
Burocrata is available only at YouWorkForThem.
As Yves Saint Laurent said, “fashions fade, style is eternal.” And there ain’t no style like Underware style. For more than a decade these pan-Euro design virtuosos have been mastering scripts and opentype technology, and it is our great privilege to have them joining our library. They drop hugely versatile fonts, rock type workshops, run the Typeradio superstation, leap tall serifs in a single bound, and they do it all with the smooth style that can only come from the Netherlands.
YouWorkForThem cannot stress enough how psyched we are to have P22 onboard. These are old-school font masters who have been ruling artist-inspired digital fonts for almost 20 years, and they handle some of the world’s most renowned titles. Based on the sheer numbers these guys handle, you might think they’re some kind of massive superconglomcorp, but in reality they’re a small group of dedicated individuals who are very, very good at what at they do, and we are honored to have them.
Over the next few weeks (and months) we will be adding many font designs from the P22 library into our library. Keep your eyes peeled on our Newsletter, Facebook and Twitter for release notices and more.
