El-P has a new video out and New York Times somehow got the first crack at it. Our great friend, Cass from InSecretAgreement directed it and did a wonderful job. It’s not fully complete but this will do for now.

300.jpgI am sure the movie itself will suck in that cheesy-Hollywood epic way, but the visuals look to be quite nice. They tried to mimic the graphic novel as much as possible, so almost the entire film, I think 80%-90% of it is CG. If you have HBO, there is some behind the scenes special playing this month that talks and shows more. Check the HD trailers at Apple.

Yes, another subpop video. But hey, these videos rock! Directed and designed by Adam Bizanski.

RND# (NE) was a new commission for the AV Festival by filmmaker and designer Richard Fenwick – four shorts made in and around Newcastle for his RND# series of experimental films. RND# is an ongoing series of films that deal with the theme of technology versus humanity. Each film (in a proposed set of 100) is a direct response to the ways in which local culture and society deal with technology. Cathode composed and produced soundtracks for two of these films.

I am a sucker for really bad acting and bad effects. So, yes, this video (and band) rocks..

Does it get any more odd than this? If your easily offended or eating right now, don’t watch this. Subpop -”Ugly Cassanova is the side project of Modest Mouse lead singer Isaac Brock. His album “Sharpen Your Teeth” was released on Sub Pop in 2002 to much critical acclaim, but no one seemed to notice. Hopefully you will enjoy this truly amazing video that he had made for the song “Things I Don’t Remember.” This video was never released on to the internet when it first came out for fear of it being to controversial and has now seen it’s first release on Sub Pop’s new DVD Comp. “Acquired Taste.”
