Pretty wild stuff: Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) announced on December 21, 2007 that John Maeda, Associate Director of Research at the MIT Media Lab, has accepted the offer to become the 16th president of RISD. As a younger designer, I used to want to become a member of the AGI. I don’t really care as much anymore (but would still join) but I stumbled on their site today looking around. There are a lot of short articles and interesting tidbits that could keep one busy for a couple of hours I am sure.
