Margaret Penney graduated with honors from The Johns Hopkins University and received her MFA from Columbia University. An accomplished artist with more than a decade and a half of experience working in the field of graphic design, she is a master of her craft. Her specializations include branding, typography, digital collage, print and package design, and the use of color in design. She’s worked with notable brands that include Sony Music, Live Nation, California Pizza Kitchen, and Verizon, just to name a few.
Margaret set up Hello Mart in 2015, an online store offering digital art packs and useful tools for other graphic designers. One of her most recent releases is ASCII Art, a pattern mega-pack featuring 124 files of the classic digital art technique it’s named after.
ASCII Art offers a variety of images in neutral, pastel, and vibrant color schemes for incredible versatility. The pattern themes in this series include florals, fleur-de-lis, birds, animals, modern technology, balloons, cakes, household objects, and many more.
The patterns in the ASCII Art collection are ideal for all sorts of projects, including gift wrap, wallpaper, fabric prints, invitations, greeting cards, packaging, posters, collages, stationery, notebook or book covers, social media images, and flyers. They can also be used in photo layering and masking, or within typographic designs.
ASCII Art includes 18 base patterns in vector EPS format, JPG format, and transparent PNG. More than 65 color variations are included as high-resolution JPG files. The image files in this collection are 16″x16″ at 300dpi for optimal print quality.
