TOMS was founded in 2006 by Blake Mycoskie, who had begun wearing simple canvas slip-on shoes called alpargatas while visiting Argentina as a contestant on The Amazing Race. Mycoskie decided that he wanted to develop a kind of alpargata for the North American market, with the goal that for every pair sold he would provide a new pair of shoes free of charge to youth of Argentina and other developing nations.

The company soon became a huge success, branching out into other markets and other products. When TOMS sought a font to promote their wide range of offerings and charitable work, they looked to the hand-made, brushed power of the awesome “After Hours” font from BLKBK, which can be seen showcased across TOMS corporate websites in the US, Canada, UK and Japan, as well as for Facebook, Twitter and traditional print ad use.

Working closely with TOMS, we negotiated the license extensions that covered their use of After Hours across broadcast, streaming and social media, along with their traditional print advertising. If you need the perfect font for your world-changing idea, look to YouWorkForThem: The Original Creative Marketplace.
